Otay, one of my little torso revamps/practices that I thought I'd share since I kind of like where its going so far.
However, I wouldn't mind hearing what you all think.
I took ~witchinwhim's advice as well as what some of ~CrossMirage has been hammering into my head and built things up from simple shapes. I also observed some musculature stuff from posemaniacs and some photos here and there.
This is a wip, so keep in mind, its not finished, but I am willing to hear what you think I should do, if I should continue with it and what to do next in terms of amping it up. Is Beelzebub looking a bit better than before? Anything shaping up a bit? C:
Done entirely with 2B pencil (I srsly miss my 2H pencil. ;w; ).
Well, you are defiantly going on the right path with your practice. Since I'm not much of a critique person with words I'll do it over in drawing if you don't mind.
If anything this is only going to end in greatness.
You're doin' it rite. The torso looks much better now. <3 He somehow looks a little stiff and uncomfortable though. I'll redline it when I get the time. Words fail me when it comes to critique. ;w;
Okay, I drew it in to show you some things to keep in mind. Below are descriptions to the assigned number. You have very much the whole concept down pat there are just a few minor things to change. That's why I drew it out, otherwise what I'll be writing will sound strange (coming from someone like me).
1. Deltoids are import for determining how the rest of the muscles in the arm go as well as the muscles in the pectoralis Major (chest). The arm just needed a little more defining in the deltoids.
2. Judging from how the arms are positioned the biceps need to be defined just a little bit more as it will help you with the muscles in the arm further down.
3. Seeing how the arms expose the thumbs on the hand the Brachioradialis is what makes that line between where the arm and forearm meets when you bend. I only drew it in the check to see if the hand position would match with the rest of the muscles and it did so no worries there.
4. Lower the abs a bit to make room for the muscles of the diaphragm. Plus widen the upper body just a bit to go along with the side of his arms.
5. The abs. Yes, those are some nice abs. Not smudge stick like someone we know.
6. The Sternocleiodmastoid is a good neck muscle to have. I know your drawing as the m but I just drew it in for fun. Plus it helps with neck movement and it's placement to the Clavicle as well as the rest of the body from there.
Just tips and what not. Hope this can be of some use to you.

One can only hope for greatness.
